Terms & Conditions

This is a legal agreement between HEADSTONE FACTORY and the client wanting to obtain our services. The client must read, understand, accept, and sign this agreement to use the offered service. Our Terms and Conditions also outline the entire process from deposit to installation/collection/shipping for your convenience.

MINIMUM TIME FRAME REQUIREMENTS:

Allow 2 months to complete a headstone if the stone is in stock and the wording + photographs are provided at the time of placing the order.
Allow 5 months for a custom-designed headstone to be made.
Allow 2 months for shipping in case of delays.

NOTE: All permit applications require the signature of the Burial Rights holder and a copy of the Burial Rights Certificate, please provide it at the time of ordering.

THE STEPS OF PLACE AN ORDER

STEP 1: PLANCE AN ORDER

Place your order with a $400 deposit and then start gathering information on the headstone. The deposit is Non-Refundable.


STEP 2: WORDING & CERAMIC PHOTO

Once the wording and photo are received, we will create a layout for your approval. We will provide up to 4 amended layouts, thereafter there is a $50 fee per amendment.


STEP 3: SIGN THE FINAL LAYOUT

Sign the final layout once you are satisfied with the design and layout.


STEP 4: 90% PAYMENT BEFORE PRODUCTION

Do not need deposit full amount. You can pay 90% of the total amount before polished stone and engraving.


STEP 5: PAY THE BALANCE

View the finished headstone and pay the final balance.


STEP 6: COLLECTION/INSTALLATION/SHIPPING

The headstone is then installed, delivered for shipping, or can be picked up.

NOTE: Headstone orders must be completed and paid for within 12 months of ordering. If not, the invoice will be brought up to date with current pricing, and storage fees may apply.

CUSTOMIZED PRODUCT:

We will choose the appropriate stone according to your design or the pictures provided, and make every effort to create the stone shape. However, many stone making processes are done by hand, and we cannot make them 100% identical. Customers cannot be overly picky and demand a refund.

INSTALLATION:

Installation of the leveling pad (if required) starts from $250 per plot. This is required when there is more than 50mm of slope/fall over the concrete berm. Removal of an existing headstone (if required) starts from $300. The headstone will be disposed of 1 month after being removed if not collected.

SHIPPING:

We will carefully pack the headstone into a wooden crate. We will then deliver the crate to the freight depot which will then be packed into a container and delivered to the wharf in preparation to be placed on the ship. Shipping delays are beyond our control, allow for delays in your planning.

  Once the shipping has departed the wharf, we will be sent a waybill document and that will then be forwarded to you. The shipping waybill is available after the ship departs from the pro of Auckland. The waybill document states the following information: waybill number, container number, ship & voyage number, port of discharge, and delivery agent contact details.

 When the ship arrives at its destination, the headstone can be picked up from the delivery agent. This will take place once the customs documentation has been processed. For customs clearance, you will need a copy of your HEADSTONE FACTORY INVOICE. This will determine how much duty you will have to pay (if any).

  The shipping cost does not cover the agent's handling fee or any of the customs clearance fees. A different country has different fees. Your headstone is covered by insurance in the unlikely event of damage or loss while being shipped.
